AMCA Students Win GOLD at the Club Chef Team Cookery Challenge 2025
A Golden Victory for AMCA’s Italian Cookery Students
AMCA is thrilled to announce another outstanding achievement from our talented Italian Cookery students, who have once again made us proud at the Club Chef Team Cookery Challenge 2025.
Just like last year, when our students won Second Prize for Best Food and Third Prize for Best Team. This year they went even further and brought home the GOLD Award for Best Main Course!.

Competing Among the Best
The 2025 Challenge was the largest in its 27-year history, featuring 15 competing teams from major culinary institutions such as Le Cordon Bleu, Victoria University, and William Angliss.
Winning against such highly regarded institutions is no small feat, and we couldn’t be prouder of our students’ professionalism, teamwork, and creativity.

Guided by Culinary Excellence
This victory was made possible through the guidance of our celebrity trainer, Mr. Domenico Tellatin — a chef whose career includes:
- Achieving Michelin Guide status in Cumbria, England
- Earning 1 rosette from the AA Good Food Guide and 2 stars from the Egon Ronay Good Food Guide
- Being featured in Harpers Bazaar, Queen Magazine, and writing for The Evening News and Stars
We are deeply honoured to have Chef Tellatin leading our students at AMCA and passing on his exceptional expertise in Italian cookery.

A Testament to AMCA’s Commitment
At AMCA, we are one of the few institutions offering individual cooking stations — where each student is fully responsible for their own dish from start to finish.
This unique approach fosters discipline, creativity, and confidence — and this GOLD Award is a testament to that dedication.
“These awards aren’t just trophies; they symbolise our unwavering commitment to excellence and the strong foundation we’re building in culinary education.”
— Student team member
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our amazing students and trainers for making AMCA shine once again on the culinary stage!
