Have you completed your Diploma of Early Childhood Education or Diploma of Community Services and found yourself asking, “What’s next?” If you are ready to move from a frontline role into a high-level leadership position, the Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management at AMCA is designed for you. This one-year intensive program is the perfect strategic bridge for ambitious professionals who want to transition from being an educator or support worker to becoming a decisive leader and manager.

Course Structure Built for Future Leaders

We understand that balance is key to your professional growth. Our course is structured to respect your current work commitments while providing the high-level management training you need to succeed.

  • Duration: 1 Year (4 Terms)
  • Study Load: 2 days of engaging on-campus lectures and practical components, with 1 additional day of optional tutorial support for those seeking extra guidance. This structure ensures we deliver a minimum of 20 hours of face-to-face tuition per week, strictly meeting the essential Australian compliance requirements for international students.
  • The 9+3 Model: You will spend the first 9 months (3 Terms) on campus building your comprehensive management toolkit. Your final 3 months (Term 4) is dedicated entirely to your high-level industry placement.

Hands-on Experience & Enhanced Work Potential

At AMCA, we believe true leadership is mastered in the field, not just in a textbook. We provide the platform for you to apply your management skills in real-world settings.

  • 200-Hour Professional Placement: During your final term, you will undertake a mandatory 200-hour placement in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Flexible Placement Options: AMCA can organise a premier placement for you through our extensive industry network, or you may complete it at your own current workplace (subject to approval).
  • Maximised Work Potential: During your placement term, you can optimise your schedule to work up to 44 hours per fortnight. This includes your 24 hours of standard international student work rights plus your 20 hours of course-mandated placement. It’s the ultimate way to gain senior experience while maintaining financial stability.
