📣 Calling all AMCA students! It’s time to grab your phones, show off your creativity, and join our brand-new contest series — What’s Up AMCA? 🎉
Every month, we’ll throw out fun, inspiring themes, and all you need to do is pick one (or more!) and create a TikTok-style vertical video to share your story. 💥 This is your time to shine — no fancy editing or professional gear needed, just YOU and your unique take on life in Melbourne. 🎬🍂🥗
🎥JULY THEMES (Pick any!):
You may choose to do one, two or three themes, but only your highest performing video will be counted to the competition. Additionally, there will be 1 prize per person, even with 2 or 3 video entries.

🏆 How Winners Are Chosen:
Winners will be announced on the 1st of Every month and will be determined via public voting. Voting will begin the day after all submissions are in after the submission deadline. (We won't be accepting any late entries, so be sure to submit your video on time!)
Voting link and details will be added later!
However, all participants will receive a participation award, everyone's a winner!
📅 Timeline:
Submissions open: 1 July 2025 9:00 AM
Submission deadline for Jul-August themes: 29 August 2025 11:59 PM
Voting period: 24 August 2025 until 31 August 2025
Winner announcement: 1 September 2025 5:00 PM
💡 A Few Tips:
Keep it authentic — we love real stories and personality!
Add music, voiceovers, or captions if you’d like
Have fun with it — no pressure, just expression!
Submission Requirement:
1. Video (required)*:
Format: Any basic video format (.MP4, .MOV, etc)
Length: less than 1.5 minutes
Ratio: 9:16 (vertical)
2. Photo (optional):
One photo of your choice in 1:1 (square) ratio to be the thumbnail display on the main contest web page.
If there is no photo submitted, we will capture a screenshot from your video.
Notes
❤ Note:
You may make a video with another friend or group, but you will need to nominate one person, as it is limited to 1 prize.
By default, after receiving the video submission from students, AMCA will upload to our channels. The student can choose to upload the video to their personal social media account if they want to.
Order of videos posted in social medias would be based on the order of their submissions.
By submitting entries, you approve that AMCA could use your videos for promotional purpose in the future.
Each participant can ONLY SUBMIT ONE VIDEO PER TOPIC
If AMCA detects any unusual behaviour/contents in the video, the panel will check and decide to disqualify.
Each student is only eligible for one prize reward.
